Listening well and compassionately is an important key. I take time to explore and discuss the puzzle pieces, contributing to the problem - whether physical, psychosocial or emotional. Then I work with patients in mutually deciding upon a suitable and realistic treatment plan. I believe that patients are more satisfied and have better outcomes when we work in partnership to individualize their healthcare.
In 2000, I earned my MPAS (Masters in Physician Assistant Studies) from Marquette University in Milwaukee. I am also fluent in German.
I truly enjoy treating the great variety of conditions in primary healthcare, but I especially like women’s health, mental health and the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. Integrative medicine is an area of special interest, in which I incorporate complementary and alternative treatments for patients who desire those options.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy nature, gardening, walking with my dogs, bicycling, reading, journaling and spending time with my friends and family. Music is my special passion, which I use as a singer, choir director, organist and song writer.
