I believe there are two pillars to excellent patient care and a strong physician-patient relationship. The first is communication. Good communication allows both parties to effectively articulate treatment expectations and goals. The second is the ability to deliver the most advanced techniques and technologies to patients so that each patient can enjoy the health and quality of life benefits these offer.

I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in 1993. In 1997, I earned my M.D. from the University of Virginia. I then completed a Residency in Urology and Fellowship in Endourology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. This Fellowship allowed me to specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as laparoscopic and endourologic surgeries that allow faster recovery time for patients. Finally, I was an Assistant Professor of Urology at Loyola where I helped develop a robotic surgery program with the Da Vinci surgical system. I am Board Certified in Urology.

My training enables me to offer new minimally invasive surgical techniques for common urologic problems. Prostate Cancer - Robotic Prostatectomy, Brachytherapy and Seed Placement. Kidney Stones - Percutaneous Renal Surgery, Laser Lithotripsy and Shock Wave Lithotripsy.
Prostate Obstruction - Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate and Laser TURP. Kidney Cancer - Laparoscopic Radical Nephrectomy, Laparoscopic Cryoablation and Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy.
