“I want my patients to know that having diabetes is not the end of the world. As a diabetic for 18 years, I can’t say I enjoy it, but I can say I am happy and healthy. You can control your diabetes or it can control you; let’s take control and achieve a happy and healthy you.”
In 2004, I received my nursing degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College. I also have additional training in all insulin delivery systems, including pumps. I am also a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetic Educators.
I have a special interest in the most recent technology in the advancement of diabetes medicine, making sure I have information I can relay to my patients. I am pleased to be able to educate and help my patients take care of themselves and be happy and healthy.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy many different outdoor activities such as basketball, volleyball and fishing in the summer, and dartball in the winter. Most importantly, through all seasons, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two dogs and three cats.
