“My challenge is to help patients fit diabetes into their lifestyle and attain optimal blood sugar control to prevent/minimize complications of diabetes and their effects.”
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.
I received and have maintained a certification in diabetes education (CDE). I am a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and am an active member of the local chapter of Southeastern Wisconsin Association of Diabetes Educators (SWADE). I have done public speaking, community health fairs and community service projects for both SWADE and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
I take special interest in helping patients to be creative and work diabetes into their particular lifestyle, and to work with the latest technology and information to help patients effectively manage with their diabetes. I also focus on all aspects of health and tie in other health conditions and their effects on diabetes.
Away from the clinic, volleyball, sports in general, crocheting and spending time with my family are my passions.
