“I have wanted to be a doctor since I was 14 years of age. Therefore, I am living my dream. I am moved and motivated by the love of what I do every day in taking care of my patients. I also feel fortunate and honored to have that privilege.”
I earned my medical degree from the Medical College at Damascus University in Syria. My medical residency was completed at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, N.J., and Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa. In addition, I completed a clinical nephrology fellowship at Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia and a research/clinical nephrology fellowship while at Barnes Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. I am board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
I have special training and interest in hypertension, osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, renal osteodystrophy, hypercalciuria, kidney stones and osteopenia. Born and raised in Syria, I am also fluent in Arabic.
I live in Hartland with my wife, Mary Elizabeth. We have four children. In my free time, I enjoy running, biking and photography.
