Successful care relies on the formation of
a therapeutic alliance between patients and physicians. I encourage patients to ask questions, discuss their concerns and to participate in the decision process.
In earned my M.D. from the University of Illinois in 1978, which was followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. I completed my fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Since joining Advanced Healthcare, I have played a leading role in several areas of clinical research including Latex Allergy and Sinusitis. More recently, I served as Moderator of a national multidisciplinary panel on the subject of Chronic Cough. I am active in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, where I have served as Chairperson of several committees. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Allergy and Immunology. I enjoy seeing the full range of allergic and asthmatic problems in my practice.
Due to my interest in dealing with the challenging problems presented by patients with chronic cough, I have headed the effort to create a Cough and Sinus Center here at Advanced Healthcare. I also supervise the Clinical Research Center in the area of asthma, allergies and sinus disease.
