“Once I’ve offered my medical expertise, I believe it’s important for the patient to become involved in the decision-making process. I encourage my patients to ask questions regarding their treatment so they feel comfortable with the final decision.”
In 1989, I earned my medical degree from Cebu Doctors’ College of Medicine in the Philippines. My internal medicine internship and residency were completed at New York Medical College – Lincoln Medical Center in 1994, where I was chief resident. I completed my fellowship at New York Medical College – Westchester Medical Center. I then spent three years at Lincoln Medical Center, where I was chief of gastroenterology and clinical associate professor of medicine at the Weill Medical School of Cornell University. I am board certified in gastroenterology.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. I am also an avid golfer.
