“I believe collaboration between the physician and patient is key. I want my patients to be educated about their problems and to take control of them.”
In 1987, I received my medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. I completed an internal medicine internship through West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois in 1991. I then completed an internal medicine residency through Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 1993, where I also completed a gastroenterology fellowship in 1995.
I am board certified in gastroenterology and have staff privileges at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Aurora West Allis Medical Center, Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore and St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee.
I take special interest in capsule endoscopy and double balloon endoscopy.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, photography, camping, and motorsports.
