I believe that sub-specialization (extra training) in joint reconstructive (hip and knee replacement) surgery allows me to tailor various surgical options to optimize each patient’s care. These include mini incision hip and knee replacements, hip resurfacing and when needed surgical navigation in reconstructive surgery.
In 1988, I received my M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. My Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was served at the University of California in San Francisco. I completed a Fellowship in Hip and Knee at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. I am Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Professionally, I take a special interest in adult hip and knee replacement surgery, both primary (first time) and revision (re-do), including the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing. I also take interest in hip arthroscopy.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, running, golfing and flying.
