As a cardiologist, I like to establish a trustworthy relationship with my patients, understand their needs and expectations regarding treatment of their ailments and explain clearly the rationale for my recommendations regarding management of their problems. Above all, I provide cutting-edge treatment options to my patients so they don’t have to travel out-of-state to have the latest procedures available to treat their disease in the most effective way.
In 1994, I received my M.D. from the University of Kashmir in Kashmir, India. I completed a Residency in Internal Medicine through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Clinical Campus, Aurora Sinai Medical Center in 1999. Additionally, in 2002 I completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and in 2003 a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, both through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Clinical Campus, Aurora Sinai Medical Center. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
I take special interest in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, aneurysmal diseases of the aorta and percutaneous treatment of structural heart diseases such as atrial septal defects, patent foramen ovale and valvular heart diseases. I am also fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, downhill skiing in the winter and biking in the summer.
