Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality

What is the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality?

The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) is a voluntary consortium of organizations who learn and work together to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare for Wisconsin residents. WCHQ regularly releases web-based reports to provide information on over 40 measures of healthcare quality from the group’s members.

WCHQ collaborates to:

  • identify and share best practices for improving performance of all members
  • openly share quality performance data through public reporting
  • develop ambulatory care measures than enable physician groups and/or health systems to collect quality of care data on all patients

Aurora Advanced Healthcare joined the WCHQ in 2004 and (along with 19 hospitals, 14 multi-specialty clinics and 7 health plans across Wisconsin) has committed to the measurement and public reporting of quality measures to both provide information to purchasers of healthcare and promote quality improvement efforts. Aurora Advanced Healthcare has many representatives involved in the WCHQ. We have now taken the bold step (along with other providers) of publicly sharing our results for diabetes and access.

As you explore the WCHQ web site, you are invited to review our results for diabetes and access with others in our market and across the state.
